There was a family camp for Gypsies (Familienzigeunerlager) here from February 1943 until August 1944. Most of them died as a result of sickness and epidemics. The rest were killed in the gas chambers in August 1944. Jews classified as capable of working were held in some barracks in this sector beginning in late May 1944. They were never registered in the camp records, and were subsequently shipped to concentration camps located in the depths of Germany.
